Lovely image. I like how the stars just fade into the horizon.

A beautiful shot with excellent color and use of light. I would prefer a little less of the immediate foreground and more stars.

I like this Alex. You seem to have the process dialed in pretty well. I like how you tie the stars into the twilight colors. I tried this type of photography some, but have never come away with anything I like enough to keep.

I like the dark and mysterious mood and the warm reds of the fg rock against the blue. Stars look great.

Thanks everyone.

Dean, I'm not sure how much new information I could provide with an article that Floris Van Breugel didn't cover here: http://www.naturephotographers.net/articles0509/fv0509-1.html - maybe the processing intricacies of achieving twilight-esque color and getting the stars to pop more and twinkle..

Shawn - I'm barely comfortable having the image judged at 700px as it is - I definitely can't be held responsible for NPN's thumbnail downsizing :)

Amazing image Alex. This is one of my favorite places in Oregon and you captured it beautifully here. All of the different elements come together here to create a very strong image. Well done.
