Outstanding shot Jeremy! I like your.composition, the light on the trees and their reflection in the wet sand.

Beautiful Jeremy! I love the comp, colors and the light. And the lines of the clouds and the lines of the sand all point in to the body of the composition. Great work!

Jeremy, this is one of the best Cannon Beach shots I've seen so far :toast:. How cloud you possibly find a driftwood there?

Jeremy - You have outdone yourself with this one! I'm still trying to figure out how you managed to carry the driftwood to this position  A great addition to the compositon, and the rippled sand is a subtle but wonderful touch. A fav or mine from this local :toast:

Thank guys! I know....I've been to this beach a ton over the years and rarely see big chunks of driftwood on the beach like this. It made a great foreground subject. Thanks again!

There is an amazing clarity in the reflection that puts this over the top Jeremy. Love the cool blue tones in this also :toast:

I've seen a ton of driftwood-foreground images, and a ton of Cannon Beach images, but never both together done this well. I love those striped pools in the foreground, and how the reflection plays off them. Really nice and unique image of both driftwood and Cannon.

It's not as visible here, but on 500px it looked like there was some chromatic aberration on the right of the driftwood and also on haystack rock. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing. Still killin' it, man.

Thanks Alex. On the master file I am not seeing any on the sea stack...that may be an over sharpening effect??? I do however see a bit on the right side of driftwood. I just bought cs6 and thought I had done my presets like I liked in ACR, but I missed the checkbox for auto fix on CA. Got it now ....thanks!

I love the auto-CA checkbox, rather than having to mess around with the numeric sliders.. although I find that now it can help to also enable "defringe all edges" on the next tab as well. Just have to compensate with a slight saturation bump, since that seems to lower satch image-wide a smidge.

I only see it on the left side of the rock, as cyan.. but it could be a sharpening artifact since the sky is a similar color. Definitely more noticeable on the wood. I'm sure it's all fixed now anyway!

I love this one Jeremy. Love the compositional balance, and the darker exposure reflecting what probably were the conditions you were witnessing.

Great shot. It's funny how this piece of driftwood is so much more interesting than the shape in the background, which usually is the hero in the shots of this location. Well done.

The light on the tree and clarity of the foreground sand against the misty background are beautiful. Love the pastel hues of the sunset. Beauty of a shot. :toast:

Marsel brings up a good point. That foreground driftwood is very interesting, and can support this scene on its own. Either way this is a nice ocean scene

Excellent comp here Jeremy. Love the overall deep purple and splash of magenta and orange on the right. It seems just a tad dark overall, but beautiful none the less. Beautiful work.

Nice composition with great light on the wood. I really like the reflection of the stump roots and the sand channels below in the LRC.
