A Western Wallflower, if I identified it correctly. I liked that it wasn't quite fully bloomed, but had a ways to go yet.

5d, 28-135mm(with macro), tripod, polarizer

100 iso, 1/60, f/5.6

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Expertly done! Lovely light and outstanding color. DOF just enough to nail the roundness!

Morris - Going by Google Images, your ID seems to be correct. Love the Caption....it would be complete ball when the buds bloom fully.

Love the light, petal details and the brown painterly background.

Morris:
This has a Sampsonique look (if you crop tighter). Love the lighting, creamy dark bg, color and the not yet fully blooming cluster. BTW many arrangers like to use partly open blooms and buds in Ikebana arrangements to signify growth and potential.

Very pretty. I like the light. The dark yet colorful brownish BG is perfect for the yellow flower, and I like the balanced, square comp. Beautiful overall, Morris. :toast:

Lovely! I like the square crop, top down view, and the promise of more to come. It does feel like a bouquet.
