Another one of the many Grizzlies we were fortunate to have seen during my awesome visit to the Khutzeymateen a coupleof weks ago.this one was crossing the creek in its search for a juicier patch of Sedge Grass.

I like this very much. The detail of the wet fur on the head is especially appealing in the large version. This brings back fond memories of a visit I made to this amazing place several years ago.

My only suggestion would be to gently ease the eye out of the shadow.

Wow! 70-200 at 88! You could have shaken hands with him! I, too, like the wet fur clinging to his body, and that alert/inquisitive look into the distance. Maybe, just a touch of 'dodging' on the right eye?

Hello Suzanne

Most has already been expressed by others!! Nice Capture of this Female Grizz! If this were My Image I would try to bring some Detail to her Head at the Top, Between the easrs. a difficult spot with the Direct Lighting, even with overcast conditions.

What is your Crop ? & Time of Day?

Overall......... A Keeper to be proud of!!!!! :)

Thanks for Sharing & looking forward to more !

I agree with the suggestions for a bit of "eye" tweaking, but find this to be a fine image as posted, with nice detail and pleasing color.

I'm rather late commenting but just wanted to say that I really like this grizzly photo. Strong composition with the bear entering the frame and dominating the scene. Particularly interesting having the bear standing in the water. The rock at the top catches my eye somewhat, suppose it could be darkened a little if you were to print this one.
