ID puzzle here & help anyone. I think it's either a 4-spotted Skimmer or female Dot-tailed Whiteface. It seemed to be consorting with a male Dot-tailed.
Canon 7D, Canon 70-300 DO lens, 1/1600 sec,f7.1, ISO500, sun & cloud mix, about 50% crop.

Can't help with the ID, Roger. Great flight capture and a nice comp.

I can't help with the ID either, Roger, although I think someone will be able to ID this guy. Excellent in flight capture. If this were mine, I'd clone out the stick.

Great inflight capture Roger, no easy task..Since the DF is obviously heading for this roost, I would probably leave it in as you have. This is most likely the Four spotted Skimmer, a female.
Well done :toast:

Great flight shot. Not easy to do, for sure. I would leave the stick in, as it gives a setting to the picture and the expectation of an impending action (landing on the stick). I concur with the ID as Four-spotted Skimmer. See my stream for 2 photos, if you like.

Thanks everyone for comments & ID. Still undecided about the stick but will likely leave it in.
