I went out to see if I could get any macro shots of the orange Lillies growing in the yard. It was a great morning with slightly overcast sunlight just after sunrise. Best of all there was no wind for a change. I did get some nice shots but I think I like this one best with the tiny sweat bee covered with orange pollen from the Lilly.

I took this with a 5Dii, 100mm macro, and 1.4X teleconverter. I shot at f/3.5, 1/80, ISO 800.

Very sharp subject with striking colors. The bee covered with the orange polen is interesting and tells a good story. This must be either a small bee or a large lily as the bee is much smaller than even the anther. Good job getting this.

Fabulous! Love how the little guy looks like the all but bathed in the pollen. Colors here are magnificent. A study in orange.

Colorful image, Richard! The bee looks great, covered in these pollen. I would have liked a bit more space on the left side. :toast:
