Bluets Tickled
by Wayne Jones
On my last camping trip, I found lots of bluets an opening the the forest on an island. I realized that a great part of their charm is in their dense clusters, so I dispensed with my usual macro efforts and shot them with a wide angle lens. I found a pretty little group and waited for the rising sun to break over a rise until the light tickled the tips of the petals.

Scott's suggestion of a crop from the top to remove part of the rock has merit as it will put the focus squarely on the bluets which are the star of the show. I also wonder about cloning out the almost vertical grass mid left border. Overall a very strong and pleasing image.
