Nigel:
First of all welcome to NPN and Flora.
This is a very strong image to open you account with. Like the POV with strong focus on the anthers and shallow DOF. Nice isolation from the bg. Look forward to seeing more of your post here.

Nice capture of a very small and delicate wildflower! Excellent depth of field and point of view.

Nigel: Welcome to NPN and to the finest Flora gallery on the planet. Wonderful subject and BG and really good DOF management. My only tiny suggestion would be to crop from the bottom to 4:5 ratio to give the flower a bit more emphasis but this works very well for me as is. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more. >=))>

I would like to add my welcome also. This is a very strong image. Great color, detail, sharpness and dof. The flower stands out from the background very well. I do agree with the suggestion to crop a little off the bottom to emphasize the flower even more.

Nigel - Welcome to NPN and the Flora Gallery . What a striking photo of the Columbine to open your account. Nice POF for the stamens/anthers there while retaining an acceptably soft background.

A very fine view of the Columbine. I like your pov choice and how that works with your placement of the flower in the fram. I also like all the details in the stamen and pistils.
