Yucca in the Canyon
by Richard Teller
Another shot from Cedar Canyon. I liked the side lighting on the Yuccas and the color of the sky. It is very hard to shoot any vegitation because of the almost constant wind. There is a little motion blur in the image. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

5 commentsNice depth and I like the warmth. I do like the composition very much, but wish for just a little more breathing space up front. The clinging clouds over the buttes are a nice addition. Actually, the large version shows very well and the sharpness and depth are pretty impressive - I wouldn't have guessed any wind here. Nice job.
Just read the other comments and I'll just have to respectfully disagree. I wouldn't call it harsh - it's late (or early), low angle, side lighting and with the yellow grasses gives off a sense of warmth to me. Works for me, other mileage may vary. ;-)
