This is more of the juvenile Blue Heron that has been a subject of mine for the past couple weeks on turtle Creek in uptown Dallas, Texas.

Rick, beautiful light in this image, and great sharpness and colors. I like the look of the rock on which the bird is standing.

The great blues are few and far between in this area, especially this year. His feathers look pristine and I like the sharpness of your capture. Wish for a little more eye contact, but that's life. If only they posed on command.
