This is one from an amazing trip to Lilletinden Mountain late in may. It`s shot around midnight..truly one of the amazing aspects of living this far north.

Took me 5 hours to climb the 1100m to the peak. So worth it...

Hope everyone is doing alright...

Midnight! That's crazy. I really like the glowing highlights and textures in the foreground. I'd be interested to see how this would look with the foreground shadows lightened just a bit.

I’d stay awake all night for these layers of warm light and shadow.

am i the only one who prefers the shadows to be quite dark? Although on my screen there is detail in every shadow in the bottom. The histogram shows no blocked shadows..

I REALLY appreciate every comment and feedback...so im just curious about what people thinks..

Great title, and shadows look fine to me. Really opens up the available time for getting to places like this. Hope you were able to ski down, looks llike it might be a fine cruise to the right.

You always have a knack for finding interesting foreground formations in snow. The diagonal lines leading up through are a great part of the comp. Kudos on your will power for doing that hike in the middle of the night :toast:

Superb light and color Arild. The small cloud offers a wonderful element that really lifts and balances the image well. I can't imagine living that far north must do to your biological clock... insomnia for sure! Nice work

Glorious view! I love the light on the foreground snow drift and arc of shadow leading to the sun.
