This shot made veeery happy because I was looking for that beauty almost for three years, took me tons of driving and high altitude hiking in every season . Tell the truth I already gave up and I just let go, because I think I was pushing too much, and right next visit with my friends from over the seas I just simply ran into him....

I would be very happy as well! Nice shot. Good lighting on the him. I guess the OOF foreground is a bit distracting to me, but nothing major. I've only seen a ptarmigan once when I took a cable car up in Jasper, Alberta. Fun birds to watch.
