Olympus E5, ZD300f2.8, 2xTC, ISO200, f6.3, 1/400 monopod

I've been watching this nest for awhile and have seen these Ferruginous Hawk chicks growing fast. This was taken tonight and is the first time I have been out there and had all 4 of the chicks standing up....usually 1 has been lying down. Mom was nearby keeping an eye on them. It was cloudy and fairly late in the day here. Not sure how much longer they will be around.

Great catch to get good heads and eyes in all four! Nice poses, great perspetive, and good placement in the nest.
Terrific image!

Good head angles on these guys. Wish the BG was a little less busy.

Treasure trove here .Great success to in managing to have all four chicks with at least one eye forward and twinkling.Would say that to have seen and photographed so beautifully this family scene must have made your day. :toast:

Nice work getting all of the chicks looking in roughly the same direction. Good lighting and detail. I wish the surroundings were a bit less chaotic but this is really a wonderful image.

Wonderful that they are all looking in the same direction and the details are really nice. Background seems appropriate and doesn't bother me at all.

Must be a good mom to have four of them at this stage. Great image, Dave. Great to see the eyes on all the chicks. Also like the part of nest you included in the image. :toast:
