Olympus E-5, 300mm x 20.TC, handheld

Another view of the Solitary, this time a front-on view.

Cropped to vertical. Selective sharpening to the bird; noise reduction to the background.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

Nice comp on this Jim. Not sure if this is my eyes (they are starting to get bad), but looks a touch soft like it could use another round of sharpening.

Nice little turn of the head, the perch it's on shows detail on the feet, and the BG is clean and contrasts nicely with the bird. Cute little guy.

Fine image, Jim. The background helps the sandpiper pop. Nice head turn. Maybe a little more space all around. Second Kurt's suggestion on another round of sharpening. :toast:

This image has a lovely sense of depth, Jim. Part of that is due to the DOF effect evident here. I love the inquisitive pose of the bird too.

A fine image as presented. I'd be very happy to have something this good on this species.

Nice pose, Jim. With a bit more sharpness it would be nice, but I wouldn't have attempted handholding the same gear (which I have) at 1/320 second.
