In the Spotlight

This should be in the Woman in Nature gallery! My friend and I walked to Tennessee Valley beach, just north of San Francisco. It was late in the day, and the sun was peaking through the keyhole at the top of the rocks, creating a spotlight on the beach. I liked the effect, the shadow, etc.

This was taken with my Point and Shoot, since I didn't want to carry the weight of my "real" camera. Panasonic DMC-LX5.

Very cool lighting effect, Kathy. Good exposure on the foreground and the person. The light coming through the rocks and the sky do seem too bright but that possibly could be fixed somewhat in processing. Unique and interesting image.

Very nice use of light. I think the bright areas are specular so don't bother me that they are blown out.
