This is lovely. I like the crescent moon peeking between the branches. The old tree makes an impressive silhouette. Very nice image

Lucy - The colors really pop. Seems to be a little lack of sharpness, which migh just be the web version. More importantly, there is a small branch that seems to be making contact with the moon. You migh consider cloning out that small part so the moon stands alone without the piece of branch.

I agree with Harry's assessment... especially on the moon point... Lots of potential in this one...

I like the color and silhouette but the moon seems to get lost in the branches. The horizon seems a bit busy with the secondary trees and could possibly be shot from a sharper angle to avoid them?

Nice catch Lucy, especially with the moon. I do agree on the branch by the moon, easily fixed. I also think Bob's thought is a good one. Getting lower to shoot the scene would have made a nice photo as well!

This is absolutely wonderful, Lucy. You say this beautiful tree is on your property? I can't recall seeing a better home-landscape grab than this one. The perfect balance of shapes and subtle color graduations make this a beauty.

Wonderful tree image. The light gradient makes the perfect backdrop for the silhouette.

The silhouetted trees against the beautiful sunset colors are gorgeous. While the branch touch the moon in a minor nit, I still think is wonderful capture.

Thanks everybody! I do have a ton of pecan trees on my property, so you will see many sunsets behind the same trees. It has made a nice study, as the sky is so very different most nights....like the saying goes " I have a million of them!" The moon is easily fixed...I just noticed, that Venus is rising also (in the next set of branches. I think I will clone out this "white spot" also. :wavey:
