Stormy Autumn
by Brian Schrayer
I captured this image last fall outside of Crested Butte, CO. Most images from this location are cropped to panoramic format. I have played with a few panoramic formats but for presentation on NPN I chose full frame since panoramic comps don't work so well at a smaller size.
All comments and critiques are welcome. I am particularly interested in the color. I dialed back some of the yellows because they made the greens look a little too much like army green. I still haven't mastered the battle over compression which seems to be killing all of the details in this image.

7 commentsBrian, this is a very fine shot. The colors are perfectly natural on my monitor, the comp works very well, and the stormy sky adds such a nice touch of drama. You should be very pleased with this and I hope you print it HUGE!
