Kiss of the Dragonfly

I thought this shot was a little unique and to me a bit funny. As the rabbit was drinking form the watering hole, a dragonfly stayed put and never moved. It was if he was giving the bunny a little kiss.

Outstanding Kurt, both in terms of timing & position, just would like a bit more room all round.

Really really nice image. Love everything abou tit - maybe add a touch of canvas on the bottom to give the reflected ear some breathing room.

That is pretty unique! Good job on capturing this! My only wish would be for more room on the top & bottom. Nicely image!

I bet that it is unique, Kurt! What an unlikely looking pair! I like the shot as posted, especially your use of the DOF, but a little more room top and bottom would be an improvement. Another way to go would be to see if you can crop to just the head and front leg of the rabbit. That way we would have a better look at the dragonfly too. However, that dragonfly is pretty small: it may not be sufficiently well defined by the available pixels.

How cool is that! This is such a perfect example that one does not need a bear, lion, tiger or elephant to make a top notch wildlife image. I love everything about this; light, colour, low angle, subjects and interaction. Perhaps only a little bit more DOF would have perfected this, but that is really minor. :toast:

Great timing. You have to view the large version to really see and appreciate what's going on here. I love it.

Kurt,
Great work on this one and what timing . . .
Is this cropped or full frame, Have you tried a vertical crop, the dragonfly needs a little help to keep from being over powered by his 'Drinking Buddy'. The yellow flowers add real nice color.
