Angels

I had the opportunity to watch the Blue Angels practice above where I work. I pretended they were wildlife, watched their behavior and tried to predict where they would travel, and wehre I should be to take in the action. Pretty impressive to see these birds up close.

ISO 800, f9.5, 1/500 sec. 100-400 IS @ 400mm.

Excellent capture, Harry. The formation here is perfect and it's clear that your homework paid off. I'm sure this kind of shot is not easy to capture but this looks great with wonderful contrast and clarity.

I had the pleasure of doing the same thing a few years back. What a thrill.

This is just superb, Harry! Love the angle of the planes and the detail/sharpness is outa this world. Really shows how close the formation is, especially 1 and 2; they're really dialed in. This photo brings back wonderful memories of the excitement and how much fun it was to shoot them. Masterfully done!
