Lots of color, very busy, but the blade of grass as a straw was too much fun to pass up. I'd love to hear all thoughts and suggestions on this one. Thanks for looking

Maybe the coolest shot yet, Nancy. And your title is perfect!

I like the abstract quality to it.

Nancy Lea,

Awesome! And yes, the title is excellent - actually makes me think of "refreshing." Now, one could argue about the brightness or even the positioning of the grass, but it really adds a depth and dimension, clearly, with the grass blades coming out of the water. A little reality inserted in to the abstract. I don't know what your crop options were/are, I might prefer a little more of the blades included or some more room on the right, but no matter as this is quite excellent as presented. Love this, unique and original.

I really love these water abstracts Nancy and this one is quite beautiful! Can't say that I'd change anything.

Nancy - your water photos have a style all their own and quickly recognizeable from the thumbnail. Nice mix of shapes and colors. The blade of grass etracts for me - not sure what it was unless you told me. I prefer just the water.

You seem to have a knack for these kind of images. Well seen and captured with all of the abstract shapes and color.

I don't care what you do. I just love these. That's a blade of grass, huh? Gives some sense of scale, but overall it's just part of the abstract. I like the somewhat limited palette of colors here that work together quite nicely.

Another very nice abstract, Nancy. Great title, and I'm enjoying the straw idea. The light and colors work very nice in this.

The colors in the water are wonderful! I see a bald head in the upper left and a dog's face below it. The straw makes me chuckle. Great shot. I'd sure go back and play with that spot some more to see what else may be lurking in the water. :toast:

the Colors are just great in this one, i really like how you kind of forget that it is water and it becomes like an abstract painting with rhytm and vibrant colors. The way the ripples curl up at the leaf and how the water looks very thick and smooth is great!
