Darkness Over the Lake

It was almost noon when I shot this image of Lago Argentino in Patagonia, Argentina. I was on a catamaran, and just a few moments before, I had been taking pictures of the Spegazzini glacier in front of me. I turned around and saw the beautiful view of the area we had just come from several minutes before, and the menacing clouds that never materialized into a storm, and took this shot.

As always, any and all comments/feedback is always appreciated. Thanks!

I'm trying to imagine this as a panorama to draw attention to the dramatic lighting ahead.Good catch from a catamaran.

For me, this is all about the light on the peaks beneath the clouds. I could see a narrower crop to put more emphasis on that but I like the texture and mood of the water, also. Nice job

Neat shot with all the drama in the sky. I could see cropping about half of the water to further emphasize the sky and clouds.

The warm light here makes for a different presentation. Overall, I like it, thought there seems to be a bit much clouds. Could maybe see cropping some from the top.

Thanks Kah Kit, Nancy, Mark, and Tony for your great comments and feedback. I think that there are several ways that this image could be edited to create different moods and effects. Kah Kit, I also could definitely see this a a panorama cropping both some water and sky to emphasize the center area of the image.

Thanks again everyone.
