Paddling to Daybreak

It's been weeks since I posted anything, and I haven't shot much either, so I dug up a shot from last fall that had an awkward exposure and did some surgery. This began as a three-shot pano stitch where the kayakers were moving out of the center of the shot. Finally, after a huge crop, it's back to a single frame shoot. As much as I liked everything that I cropped out of the original expansive stitched image, sometimes the rule of thirds just works best.

It's a pano crop, so please check out the larger version.

I like the shot and the reflections of the trees Wayne. I kind of wish to see the tops of the trees that are cut off, but not a big deal.

Wayne, I don't know this place but I sure feel like I have been there. This captures that "Up North" look really well! Really enjoy the feel this has. Just put the racks on top of my van today so I can get out with my canoe.

I like your emphasis on the reflection. Very calm mood. Not sure about the left side .

The light hitting the kayakers is the icing on this cake. This really gives me the feel of the Northeast.

The kayaks are a nice touch and the trees are wonderfully reflected. I could see this is a large pano at a mountain resort
