Looks like I'm not going to make it back out in the water to shoot any more eagles this season. So here's another one from last month.

Dan,
I am amazed at the way you balance the darker detail under the wing and the white of the head and tail, Masterfully Done.
I find the Eagles hard to capture, thanks for showing me how it is done.

Thanks for the comments, folks.
Mike, one thing we have going for us in AK is that we aren't bothered by those pesky sunny skies you have down there. The flat light makes it a lot easier to keep the whites/darks in good shape. The rest is just use of masks in PS.

Thanks for posting this. I love the exposure allowing for the OOF background and TAC sharp contour feathers. Seems to me like this would have been an easy shot to blow the whites on..... Again thanks for sharing.

Super image. Love the DOF and the BG. Must have been pretty close at 220mm.

So stunning it could be a painting. Love the light, the wings, the background, the body position and the crisp bird. Wonderful shot!

(gulp) Wow---Maybe one of the best eagle images I've seen. The pose along with the magnificent background is perfect! This is an image to admire again and again, and I mean it... Very nicely processed, as well.
