Wailua Falls

This was my first attempt at a waterfall capture, taken last year on a visit to Kauai. Canon 7D, 15-85mm, f/13, ~3 second exposure, with a CPL and ND8 filter. The sky was blended in from a -2 bracketed exposure. Suggestions for improving this one?

Very nice Jared. An idyllic scene (wish I was there!). Nice job on the blend.

I think you did a really nice job given the rather harsh lighting conditions. I might try to saturate the greens a little more for some added punch.

A very nice job of 'developing' this image. I like the idyllic scene and the mist rising from where the waterfall hits the body of water. Shows some real power there!

Nicely done Jared, especially given that it was your first attempt at a waterfall. Well done on handling the harsh mid-day sun. You probably can't bring down the highlights much more without it looking a bit off but that would be the only thing I could think of.

Such success on your first try? Good job. The framing plants are a nice addition and the balance of light in what appears to be a high-contrast situation is good too.

Lovely waterfall, and the lighting works very nicely. Great job on the blend, it looks very natural and pleasing.

Really nice job. Actually your photo looks better than the real thing. At least from when I saw it...
