Western Bluebird

Another one from last week at the small waterhole in the National Forest. Western Bluebird is a common local species that I've struggled to get shots of that satisfy me.

I appreciate your critiques and comments. Please view the larger version if possible.

Canon 7D, 500mm + 1.4x TC, tripod, camo cloth, not set up or baited

f/6.3, 1/200, ISO 640

Crop to 69% (12.4 of 18MP)

A nice look at this bird Brian. Detail and sharpness are great in the larger version. I like the perch too. The OOF leaves and yellowish ting to the BG on the left is not optimal IMO. However, it does not seriously detract from the image for me.

A really nice look at this pretty fellow. Good detail, colours, and pose.
The left OOF bugs me a bit - how about a nice vertical comp to avoid those areas altogether? Would be easy to clone in a bit of canvas as needed.

Excellent detail in the bird, Brian. These are tough as the blue is outrageous in them. Given the high key bg and the rather messy foliage on the left, I'd be tempted to crop this to a vertical or square and get rid of most of the mess.

A colorful bird that I have a hard time getting any good pictures. Nice job in getting this, way to go.
