Mountain Bluebird-Female

Last year when I visited the Centennial Valley I as able to get a couple of nice images of male mountain bluebirds, but none of the female. This year one of my goals was to get some shots of females. This is one of my favorites. I like the perch, perspective, and spider in the beak.

Canon 1DM4
Canon 500mm + 1.4x TC
ISO 1000
f/8
1/100s
Manual exp.
Hand held
not a set up
Bit of NR on the BG only

That's great to see the spider! Honestly I can't even hand hold & come out so good at 1/200 at 400mm! Beautiful image!

Nice pose and background colours, and the spider adds interest.

Beautiful, Ron. Not much to add to your own notes. Where's the Centennial Valley? :toast:
