Roseate Spoonbills at Alligator Farm, Florida

1/2000 at f13 and ISO640 EC -2/3
Canon 500mm with 1.4 TC
Canon 7D

I like because it shows the spoonbills in an unusual setting as normally se these on the coastline and not in the trees. I like seeing both the colors of parent and child and full bodies of both birds

Tough light! I really like the composition and the poses here. I also feel the saturation in the reds is a bit over the top, at least on the adult.

Scott, I realy like this image!! The unusual pose is IMHO very attractive. I like the BG, it sets the birds off very well. Thanks for sharing.

Scott, I love the overall comp. To me parts of the image are too dark. I would try and bring those areas up without brightening the brightest area of the young bird. It can be done. Also, I see some weird artifacts below the bottom bird, especially right up against the snag. Looks like some cloning work gone awry. I would fix those areas if this were mine.

A superb composition with excellent sharpness throughout. I agree with Ron that the image seems generally dark, however the highlights are already at their limits. Working on the mid-tones and a bit on the shadows Would be well worth the effort.

Scott, I really like the comp on this. Would love to see a repost if you decide to take Ron's comments and work them. I think this is an image I would take the time to improve.
