Madagascar Hoopoe photographed at Ifaty, Madagascar. This bird was doing a bowing/calling display to two other hoopoes in the tree.

Canon 7D, EF500 f/4 Is + 1.4x, tripod, ISO 400, f/5.6, 1/3200, vertical crop from horizontal image.

Love the Hoopoes and also love Madagascar, was there in winter time and didn't have big luck for birds... Great shot, thank you for sharing👏

One of the strangest looking birds I have seen in awhile and love it! I don't think the pose and comp on this could be any better Simon. Really super image!

A very interesting looking bird with that color pattern and I like how the blue sky makes the bird even stand out more, way to go.
