Found these stink bug eggs on gourd plants. I like the neat rows these made. Should I have cropped tighter to eliminate the ones OOF?
Thanks for your comments.

Personally the OOF eggs don't bother me at all, in fact I like the way it highlights the shape of the leaf. Interesting find and thanks for sharing!

Great semi-abstract pattern, as well as an interesting subject. I like it a lot as-is, but I think I might like it a little better if it were all in focus. But that's a moot point if they already hatched, so why worry about it?

Interesting find and a good image. I like the entire series. I like the pattern created by the rows of brown eggs, and the nice lighting. For this comp, a little more DOF may have been preferable in hindsight.

This is a great series, I applaud you for taking the time to render in beauty something as mundane as bug eggs. It takes a special eye and even greater vision to create in these images a sense of wonder and mystery. My hat's off to you and anyone else who lends dignity to often ignored life cycles being carried out all around us. Thanks for sharing

Interesting post John, the eggs stand out very well.
To answer your question. I would simply shoot the original as close as possible at my lens inside focus limit.
Always much better to have it to start with of course. But I understand how small these eggs are..
