Madagascar Pygmy Kingfisher photographed at Analamazoatra, Madagascar. This little endemic popped up in front of us on a jungle walk and I managed to get few rushed frames before it flew off.

Canon 7D, EF500mm f/4, tripod, ISO 400, f/4, 1/25, cropped for composition, digitally removed a dark vertical oof vine to right of bird, and another at far left. Applied extra sharpening to face.
