This beautiful beach is in the Durness area of Sutherland. The reddish sand was sculpted by the outgoing tide. Taken on a Transient Light Workshop.

Nicely composed. Shadows look a little deep, but totally real in this light. I didn't think they ever got this much sun in Scotland. Lucky you.

A 'wish I were there' type of image. Beautifully captured and portrayed with an inviting feel to it. I like this one very much

I like the lines in the sand and the comp. PP looks pretty decent too!

I like your comp Eva. My immediate thoughts that it may look good as a b&w to bring out the wonderful sand lines and those interesting fg sand patterns

Hi Eva This one has a slight cyan cast to it on my monitor I can see it particularly in the shadows and on the grey of the rocks. I would desat it slightly and tip the colour balance a few ponts toward red. The sand patterns are very nice but the lighting is harsh. I must admit the best light I got when I took these scenes actually occurred just in the short gap before the sun reached full power. Wonderful place though "Can of Beans" beach.

Repost using Ian's suggestions looks much nicer IMO, especially the intensity of blue in the sky. Love the patterns in the FG and the color contrast from bland brown to happy blue.

Very nice, Eva! I like the repost per Ian's suggestions best. Although the original post was quite nice the repost seems more natural for me. Very nice!

Thanks for posting a b&w Eva. I like it and think there's lots of potential there. I would go with a dark red filter look to really darken the blue sky and add drama there. Cheers!
