Great catch!! Either it wants to be a flying squirrel or is trying for the olympics! Good exposure, maybe crop to give more room in front and less in back? Fine as it is. Thanks for sharing.

Nice catch. If I were going to crop it , I would remove from the right side so the squirrel was a little off center. :wavey:

Great shutter speed to capture the squirrel "in flight". Well done.

In spite of their short legs, squirrels are great jumpers. Nice job freezing him in the air. Agree with more room on left and less on right.

Welcome to NPN Michaela! Nice first image to share as well. Love the action in this! I like the comp personally and wouldn't crop it because you are showing the launch point and landing point. If you do decide you want to crop it, I would actually remove the left or landing spot because I think the launch point tells the story better. Congrats! :toast:

Thanks very much for the comments and suggestions - really appreciated! I've had a look at cropping it differently so it also includes the landing point (a big boulder currently out of frame) and it's definitely an option I can use. I got a sequence of shots from this little bit of action, and it was certainly good practise for tracking fast moving critters.
