I only stopped to work three different scenes on this hike but I liked this one. The wildflowerrs are past their peak so I am about through with flora for the year--unless there are still some flowers going in the Wind River Range above 10,000 feet in another 10 days.
Canon 15-85
f32
1/4 sec
ISO 200
-0.7
85 mm
As always--suggestions appreciated!

Very nice contrast in textures and the lighting is excellent. Our alpine flowers are yet to get started, you can always come out to Washington....
I was through the Wind River Range last September and there was so much smoke I could hardly see a thing. Hopefully there won't be a repeat performance this year.

Chad:
Lovely blooms against the texture bg. This reminds me a lot of Gigi's work and I hope you take this as a compliment. It will be sad to see you stop doing flora for the rest of the year as you had posted some excellent works this season.

I really like the differing textures in this one - smooth petals against rough bark. Although I like it as posted, I wonder how it would look if you could crop the flower on the left out, leaving the trio? I haven't commented on your wildflower images this summer, but you've had some excellent images.
