Golden Cliffs

After sunrise we stuck around for some golden light on the Duncansby Stacks and cliffs, Caithness, Scotland. Taken on a Transient Light Workshop. I especially like the pink thrift in the foreground.

Pentax 67II
Pentax 67 55-100mm
Velvia 50
1.5 Stop ND
Epson V750, Silverfast Studio Ai 8, Better Scanning adjustable holder with ANR glass, double scan for dynamic range.

Thanks for having a look.

There's a whole lot to like here, Eva. The light is outstanding, your composition is perfect and there's lots of interesting smaller details (the flowers, the great sky, etc.) to enjoy. Nice!

gorgeous light and i too like the pink leading line ... the golden cliffs might be a touch too bright to my eye but this is a lovely scene well captured.

Beautiful image Eva, I like the feeling of depth and the way the FG wraps around into the receding cliffs.

Youssef's comment, 'What an eye-full' says it all. A superb composition with perfect light. One of your best from there, IMO.

What a beautiful coastline. Lots of wonderful detail to explore and those golden cliffs are pretty spectacular. The clouds even mirror the stacks. I cringe at having to re-scan my older slides with the SIlverfast 6 version I have - the dust and lack of sharpness after a scan kills me compared to the relatively clean files from my DSLR.
