Reddish Egret Juvi

It's pretty rare for me to see these birds in Gulfport. And oddly enough, I've never seen juveniles anywhere else, also never have seen an adult here. Another thing I found interesting is the lighter color, almost sandy grey. Shot this morning under cloudy conditions. Full frame, larger image included.

An interesting plumage - perhaps this will become a white morph in adult plumage?

Rich, that was my first thought, however my Sibley Guide shows the juvenile as all white. But maybe that's correct.

A good looking youngster, beautiful exposure on a very complimentary BG. I might be tempted to remove the OOF element in the BG, but other than that, a fine image. I can't add anything on the plumage, but it sure is good looking.
