I think your point of focus is right where it should be as the petals are nice and sharp and the BG is gorgeous. The only thing I would rather not see is the OOF blue right behind the petals of the main subject....but there's not much you can do about that unless you want to do some pruning before shooting....

The backlighting is great in your shot. Some room between the two flowers would have made this better in my opinion.

Elisabeth, this is excellent, IMO. I love the watercolor look, the BG, and the overall feel. My only suggestion would be to crop some off the top as I think there is a little too much bright empty space.

I'll second Scott's suggestion of cropping down a bit. I don't think there is much that could have been done rear bloom other that to remove it. I do like your depth and light. Nicely seen and captured.

The sharpness in the subject is great and the background has a really fine "painterly" feeling. In this case, could you circle to the left a bit to move the oof flower off to the side?

Blue cornflowers always bring a lot of great memories from my childhood holidays at my grandparents' farm. Thank you for this one.

Elisabeth:
The blue cornflower looks really nice and the bg is especially pleasing. Just wish the bg flower was not in the way or at least more to the side.

So beautiful, Elisabeth ! Love the comp and background, and the lighting on the main flower is a delight.
