Canoe on a misty lake

This was taken the morning after a night of thunder storms. When I saw all the mist covering the lake, I just had to grab the camera.
I used a Kodak dx 6340 digital on auto setting.

Very good eye to see this!
The canoe and dock are really nice.
A few suggestions:
- a step or two backward would have gotten the entire canoe in the image.
The very bright/blown sky at the top is a distraction. I'd suggest cutting most of it out - perhaps cut to just below the tallest tree, second from the left.
Hope this is useful -

Sandy
The rock and weeds on the lower left don't add anything, so I'd clone them out altogether.

I like the mood with the mist.
I agree with Sandy on the suggestions.

Nice shot of a calm morning on the lake. Like the placement of the canoe and dock. Agree with the cropping of the sky. I wonder about removing the rock and foliage in the lower left corner??? What do other's think?

A slightly different angle would put the dock and boat completely in the frame and at an angle, eliminate the rock and grass on the left and the sun glare in the trees. Great subject in great lighting and good eye to see it. It is always good to take more than one shot standing in different positions if at all possible (a lesson I learned the hard way).

Some beautiful lighting and scenery here. I do wish the bottom of the canoe weren't clipped. The untidy bit on the left bottom corner can be cloned out of cropped away easily enough.

Good moody shot with subtle colors and textures. Canoe and "T" of deck work well together.
