Fremont Peak--with repost

This is from last week's backpacking trip to the Wind River Range of Wyoming. (my favorite place) I tried to shoot this scene three different nights and this evening was the best of the three. The first night there was too much breeze for a reflection and the last evening the western clouds prevented any alpenglow.
Conditons during the day were hazy with harsh light so I carried only my Canon S95 on the day hikes. Pictures were lousy but the hikes were spectacular. Indian Basin and a day of off trail hiking below Elephant Head Peak at about 11,000 feet were great and the wild flowers were still pretty good.
C&C appreciated.

The light here is really special. I like how it add so much depth to the scene.

You certainly lucked out this evening, Chad. This is gorgeous. I like the beautiful light on the mountain and the very nice reflection. Looks like a painting. This would be even better if you can darken the sky and cloud in the upper right and maybe bring out the trees in the LLC, but the dynamic range here looks pretty challenging because of the foreground shadowed area. You certainly captured the beauty of the area. :toast:

That is some great light you got here. Love the reflection in the small pond. I wish the bottom half wasn't as dark, but I think it gives it a more natural feel. Excellent work here.

Lovely lighting on the peak and a wonderful reflection. It's a wonderful scene. While I could see darkening the upper left sky, I also like the softness that's there. I do think that lightening the lower left would add nicely and luminosity masking/painting would let you do that (see Tony K's web site).

Lovely. The light on the peak is wonderful and the fg gives this image the feeling of evening chill.

Thanks for the suggestions. Right on as always. I have used TK masks and painting as suggested. Have I gone far enough. To me it is a big improvement.

Beautiful pastel colors on the mountain and sky. Repost is a great improvement. Possibly could still bring out a bit more shadow detail and reduce contrast in the fg/mg areas, but I'm really enjoying the great light and color here.
