Your choices in depth and focus always put a smile on my face Elisabeth.

Again, very painterly with a beautiful bg, Elisabeth. My only reservation with this version is the same as the one I had with the previous version, which is the empty ULC. Otherwise, a beautiful, artistic image.

This is a like a painting or stained glass! I am wondering if it would improve with a little cropped off the top and the left side. Also I think the big black border is a little overpowering.

Elisabeth
Love the painterly bg, so beautiful. The focused bloom certainly looks bright and cheerful but the supporting cast at the bg is drawing some attention. Also I agree with Scott that something is needed in the ULC to balance out the image.

I can see this with a crop from the bottom instead of the top. The bottom below the blossoms is mostly confusing, but there is nothing confusing about white space. I say if you got it, flaunt it!
I like it as is, also.

Fabulous colors! Really nice composition, too! I might be inclined to crop a little off the top, though, in order to get the flower less centered. I love that depth of field.

I don't know how you do the backgrounds the way you do but they sure are nice! Kinda agree with the crop suggestions, or not.
