I have been on a month and a half road trip from FL to ME to photo graph some puffins on Eastern Egg Rock so I haven't posted anything for quite some time. I thought I'd post this lucky capture of a kingbird in flight getting ready to chomp on a meal. You can see more and read the prelude on my blog. I hope everyone's been well and I look forward to viewing the past images from the month and half.

This shot was taken handheld with the D4 and 500mm with 1.4TC. I was walking a wildlife trail in VA and noticed the incoming kingbird. I had little time to react. Manual everything but focus and ISO. This is about 60% of the original image.

Tremendous action shot! With only a 60% crop this is once in a lifetime (hopefully my lifetime).
