Busy bear summer for me - I haven't had time to post or comment in quite a while, but things are starting to slow down now. Anyway, this brown bear cub was guarding his salmon from a sibling that found it easier to steal a fish than to catch his own.

As always, comments & suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Great exposure here, and nice bear pose. Fine fur detail.
I'm surprised at the DOF here with only a 2.8 - both bear and FG in focus.
Fine work!

Fine image. Good detail and composition. The thing that caught my eye first was the eye. It has a look of satisfaction with the meal.

Love the eye he is giving! I like this quite a bit, and think that you can make it even better with a crop from the top, about half way between the hump and the edge as presented. Then the wonderful triangular shape of the crouching bear and rock become "stronger" in the frame. I also like the subtle background elements of the blue flowers and the diagonal pull of the flat rock going to the branch out toward the upper right.

Great shot, and you caught the satisfaction the bear feels with his catch.
