Vernal Sunset 1

The sun illuminates high, wispy clouds as it sets behind a leafless tree in early Spring in Downeast Maine. 2 image pan.
Canon 5DII, EF17-40 @ 17mm, 1/640sec f8, ISO 200.
I adjusted the contrast curve and levels to bring out more detail in the clouds.

The cloud action is great and really sets off that bare tree. The faint glow of the setting sun is icing on the cake

Intriguing composition, Bill. I like how the patterns in the cirrus clouds seem to mimic the tree limbs. For my tastes the blues might be a bit strong but otherwise this is well done.

I really like this. The wispy clouds are very ethereal. The deep blue is just a little strong for my taste but the glow around the tree is beautiful. Nicely done.
