Bloody Photographers....

Got back today from a 10 day visit to Spain, sadly not a photography trip, but it did remind me of the images from my trip to Northern Spain in '09 (time flies!) which I am in the process of reworking. This time another Lynx who looks terribly bored at all the idiots with camera's ;-)

Thank you foor looking!

This was shot in a wildlife park, so the subject is captive.

Tech: Sony a700, 300mm, 1/400 @ f/4 & iso 400

What a moment to meet a wild Lynx like this. We have Lynx in Sweden but they are very hard to see.
You got it in the right moment when it was looking at you. Well done!! :toast:

love the look-back pose Jorne! was this at "cabarceno"? (hope I got the spelling right)
I would perhaps lessen the sharpening of the rock and grass around it for better impact of the subject :toast:

Hi Jorne,

There's lots to like here. I like how you've positioned the lynx in the frame, that head-turn in great, and the dark background works well for me. I agree with Morkel's comment about the sharpening, tho' this is easily fixed (if you wish) in post-processing. One thought - the one element that doesn't work too well for me is how the cat blends in with that similarly coloured rock behind it - if this were mine I'd probably consider desaturating the colour on the rock and/or reducing the exposure on it a little, with the goal of separating out the main subject just a tad more. Just a thought...

Cheers...thanks for sharing this one...

Brad

Thank you all for the comments! Morkel, this was indeed in Cabarceno! Brad, thank you for the tip about the rock, it always pays to post images here since I always miss one or two things! :toast:
