Gold Shelf

I've never been good with titles. Ugggh.
Shot this last week when we had some monsoonal flows across the county. It doesn't happen that often, but the clouds continued west and made it over the ocean.
I have been using a borrowed Nikon D800 with my 14-24 for the past couple weeks of my emergence from photo hibernation. The controls are way different than on a Canon 5D2, so I missed a lot of opps and I wish I had a cable release. Oh, well, I think I got the hang of it for now.

You've got it all working here... love the light on the rocks.
That new camera can really capture an image, eh?
Great to see some images from you again. Hopefully you get to spend some more time at some of your favorite locations. And this one is just gorgeous! The polished rock, interaction with the surf and the reflected light and color are fantastic, I love it. This would be awesome even without the sky. But this works beautifully just as you present it. Wow, very cool.
