This is another one from last june while visitng the Aletsch Glacier in the southern part of switzerland. I'm not really sure about this one. I took this one while waiting for the sunset. Well, I thought I might post it here and ask for your opinions.

I like this one a lot, pehaps even my favourite. I find the cool tones quite appealing and the fg composition particularly interesting. I liked the lichen covered rocks up there. The dappled light on the slopes in the bg is pretty neat to.

Really like the lichen covered bolders, nice lead in for that very pretty BG. Beautifully seen and presented Bill.

Hey Bill! I like this a lot the S curve is certainly appealing and a nice contrast to the green blocks in the FG. I like the cool balance you've chosen as well. I could perhaps see a crop off the very top, but this is beautiful as is.

Beautiful view from front to back. I like it quite a bit. It feels like it has a bit of a CW tilt to it and I'd probably shave a bit off the top if it were mine, but I certainly think it is a keeper.

This is beautiful. I like the S curves of the glacier and the details on the FG. Among your several shots from this location, I probably like this one the most.

Well done and thought out. My one nit is the cloud movement, which could have been resolved in a blend, I think. The same movement gives an illusion of tilt to the exposure.

Very cool...subject and color is cool! I would be tempted to crop a bit off the top to emphasize the foreground rocks and the curved glacier.

Great shot Bill! The only thing I'm not completely sold on is the streaking clouds. Perhaps if there were more it might have worked a little better. That being said, it's definitely not a deal breaker as this is an awesome shot and I would be proud to have it in my portfolio!

Wow! This is beautiful and I love the mood! Really nice light, color and detail. The lichen covered rocks look great. I'm not quite sure about the cloud movement but still a beautiful image for me. Nice work Bill.

Awesome shot, Bill. Love the light and colors. Great match. I am not a fan of big rocks in the foreground, but here, it looks perfect. LOVELY!

That's a great perspective. I agree about the cropping of the top just a bit for more emphasis. I must confess that the cloud motion/blur is a bit distracting with everything else in great focus. You must have had some serious filtering on the lens to require a 64 second exposure.

I like everything about this except the cloud movement, I would have preferred to see puffy cumulus clouds over the landscape instead of those choppy looking streaks. The light is very nice and I like the cool tones.

Another fine comp here, and I like the long exposure on the clouds.

Excellent. Only thought is to crop the sky to just above the clouds.

I really like those boulders in the foreground, and you've done a great job with the processing here. I'm not very fond of the vertical composition though --- I prefer the visual flow you were able to capture with your previous horizontal photos. When the glacier exits the middle left, it takes my eye with it. As a result, the composition doesn't hold my eye as long as I might like. Also, I feel you have too much sky up top. I would consider cropping off much of the sky so the emphasis returns to the foreground and the midground. I even think there is a potential for a shot that crops every so slightly above the start of the glacier --- and a bit off the far right side -- placing utmost emphasis on the glacier and the foreground rocks.

bill, i like this but question the use of the big stopper. okay there's a bit of motion in the sky but i'd wonder whether it really adds. If you're big stopper were big enough to record glacial motion, then we'd be talking  but i think the image hangs together without it. my 2c, that's all.

This one is awesome too Bill! I like the blue tones mixed with the yellows of the lichen. It's a shame there weren't more clouds to get more motion action going, but I really like the idea of portraying time with the streaking cloud movement in relation to the glacier.

The lichen covered boulders up front are wonderful. I love the texture there and the curve of the glacier. This has been a beautiful series. Nice work

This is very nice however I don't really like the cloud movement either; everything looks so earthy and natural. I bit or sky could also be cropped to tighten this up. So good shot but a couple of things not to my taste.

Very nice composition Bill. Love the lichen on the FG rocks. Overall, it seems to have a bit too much blue cast to it, but that's an easy fix.

The cool blues and FG rocks do it for me. Maybe too much sky and rock for me - a higher vantage point on the rocks would allow one to pear voer into the glacial valley more. There does seem to be a tilt - try hand level off the clouds as guide. Amazing view.

Bill, your image works really well for me. The foreground rocks draw my attention, I especially like the details of the lichen. The s-curved line of the glacier leads me impressively into the depth. The colors together with the blurred clouds make for a specific atmosphere to me. Great work in my opinion.

I agree with others above and would crop to 4x5. Otherwise I really like this image and every aspect about it. It's cool and great.
