Northern Waterthrush

Ok, yeah, it's been a long time since I've posted. I've kind of switched to doing mostly drawing lately rather than taking photos. With migrants moving through though, I went out this morning and had some luck, including my first photos of a Northern Waterthrush.

Canon 50D, 400 5.6L, ISO 400, f6.3, 430EXII @ -1 2/3.

looks great, Terry--great pose and bg. I'd consider darkening the perch somewhat and going a bit looser on the comp, but only minor suggestions on a really nice image. any time you can add a new species of warbler to your files is a special occasion in my book--especially with a shot this nice.

Nice to have 2 creative options, both done exceptionally well!
Excellent pose of this thrush with nice eye contact. Interesting perch and great BG. Maybe just a bit tight in the frame for my taste. Congrats on the "first photo" of these pretty birfs.
