This was at the base of our Elephant Ear plant. I can't seem to get away from the front yard.

Excellent, Bob. Well seen and captured. I like the contrasting green and purple colors against the dark bg, the nice light, and the forms and lines. Looks like one of Gary's Ikebana arrangements. My only minor nit are the leaves in the URC, which don't go with the symmetry of the arrangement. Would be easy to clone out, if you are a mind, but maybe this would leave too much space there.

I have these also blooming in my gardens right now but haven't gotten a photo I'm pleased with but I like your capture, Bob! I like the contrast of the smaller striped green leaves against the larger solid green lines of the stems of the Elephant Ear plant. The blue flowers contrast nicely with all the green and the dark background. The second post does look better with the errant leaves cloned out IMO. Good focus; must have been a very still day to not have any movement for 6 seconds!

Robert - I really like the reposted version - and the composition with very strong vertical elements. The nice lighting has highlighted the blue bulb like projections so nicely.
Beautiful frame.

I think the repost is fine, Bob, but I prefer the original - the joy of this composition for me is the freedom with which the various elements arrange themselves around the large central leaves; the small, shaded leaves to the R seem to balance the image better.

Robert:
A very nice arrangement This is what we try to do with our Ikebana, trying to arrange flowers so that they look natural together and you nature doing all for you here. I think I prefer the original better, the leaves in the bg give the 'arrangement' more depth; the repost is a little 2D.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I still like the original with the BG leaves. I had left them for depth and variety, but I am always willing to try. Once again, thanks, as everyone's input is very important to me.
