This egret/heron(?) was captured near Cape Lookout, NC in early morning light. Best viewed in Firefox as Chrome & IE oversaturate the colors.

5DIII, 70-200mm 2.8 w/2xIII 230mm, 1/4000 sec, f7.1, ISO 1600

This color palette is wonderful. The warm tones of the heron really complement the greens and blues of the background nicely.

Nice heron in flight! I like the green grasses in front, blue background. Seems sharp and the water drops give an extra touch.
Great capture!

Lovely BG, nice crisp capture at just the right millisecond - caught him in a wonderful extension, and the water drops coming off his feet are just the cherry on top. Excellent all around.
