This little guy was hanging out in a thistle bloom waiting for a meal to come by. There was a slight breeze and I was handholding so I feel pretty lucky to have atleast gotten his head to stay in focus.

Good color from the thistle, quiet menace from the spider. One teeny nit: for some reason, the white thingy on the LR side is distracting. It breaks up the nice curve established by the thistle. Chalk it up to OCD!

Excellent, John. For using a 60mm lens, you are getting some impressive close up images. I like the contrasting green and purple colors, and the way the legs of the spider go with the filaments (?) of the thistle. Interesting image. The dof is excellent for putting the focus on the spider.

I like this a lot! The angle is perfect..and the shallow DOF is right where it should be...I love the flow of the lines from the flower & the contrasting light green of the spider! Excellent!

I love this image of the "hiding spider" :) The lighting is great and brings out amazing lavender shades throughout. the details in the spiders face and eyes are awesome. Very nicely composed.

thanks for sharing.

Thank you as well, for the support and feedback on my images. It is too bad, there is no way in the gallery, to reply directly to comments.
