Ghost Ranch sunset

Red rock country near Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Canon Rebel XTi,ISO100, 40 mm, f/15, 1/6 second, tripod, polarizer.

I've processed this in LR with a lot of contrast. Too much?

Thanks in advance for any comments and critiques.

Very nice light and colors! I do not think there's too much contrast, but perhaps you want to crop a bit from the bottom to eliminate the first line of bushes. I think they make the image a bit busy at the lower border.

Beautiful clouds Kathy. I also love the warm light on the cliffs. I think the contrast is fine. Didi has a good suggestion. Nice image.

I don't think the contrast is too high here, but I like high contrast. Nice overall balance to this photo and great clouds. I would agree with the suggestion to crop a touch off the bottom also. Nice post.

Very pretty Kathy. Love the beautiful blue sky and light on the formation. Contrast looks good to me.

Beautiful light here Kathy. As others have noted, I think the contrast is fine.

Kathy,

Love this time of day and you've got a great sky to compliment the landscape and formations. I also don't think the contrast is too high; I think it's quite fitting for the conditions, time of day, etc. Can't think of any improvements really. Although just to make note, it's unfortunate about all the power poles and lines.... not immediately recognizable unless you really look for them though.
